Creswell Crags Recounts
Following our visit to Creswell Crags we have been writing detailed recounts of our visit. We have tried to include powerful verbs and a variety of time connectives to make our writing even more interesting for the reader.
Letters to an Unknown Soldier
As part of our Remembrance Service, the children have been finding out about what it was like to be alive during the First World War. The children had the opportunity to look at photographs and read letters which had been sent during the war. From this research, the children have written letters either to or from a soldier during the First World War or have created a thank you letter to the unknown soldier.
Francesca Simon Fact Files
We have been using our knowledge of the features of non-chronological reports to create fact files about the famous author Francesca Simon.
All About Me
In English, we have been learning about non-chronological reports and their features. We then created our own non-chronological report all about ourselves.
We will be studying the book 'Stig of the Dump' by Clive King during our R2L lessons. During these lessons we will make predictions about the story and look at the language used to add meaning.
