Hollingwood Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Welcome to the PTA - we pride ourselves in supporting Hollingwood Primary School and raising money for the pupils attending here.

More information will be available soon, but just a taster of what we've organised is listed below:

  • Christmas Fayre
  • Summer Fayre
  • Afternoon Tea at the School
  • Raffles

The money generated from these events go toward school resources.  Examples include paying for the Year 6 Leaving party, buying staging for the main hall and other items in the school.

We are always looking for new members to join our PTA family - please talk to the main office if you would like to be involved.

Parent Trust Newsletter

As 2016 is drawing to a close, we thought it would be nice to provide you with a summary of what has been achieved this year with your support and the activities that the PTA have been involved with in the school.

Together - we have raised a staggering £4,840.02 this year!

Some of the money raised has been used in the following ways:

  • Prizes for the spelling bee, organised by the school council
  • attendance achievement awards
  • contributions to the Year 6 leavers event
  • extension to the exising staging and lighting

Over the coming months, additional outdoor equipment for the pupils to use at dinner times.  We will be asking for input from the pupils to see what they want.

Alongside the fundraising we do for the children of the school, we also help out with any events that the school organise.  We provided the refreshments at the Rememberance Service and will do this again at the Christmas Concert.

Next Year's events will include:

  • Summer Fair
  • Afternoon Tea
  • Halloween Disco Tuck Shop
  • Christmas Fair

Finally, thank you for such fabulous support from parents - we are now 16 members from four.  Don't forget - all parents are members of the PTA, but if you want to offer to help at any event, or help to plan events please contact the group or attend our next meeting, which is:
