The Meetings

The Full Governing Body of Hollingwood Primary School meets four times per year to review and develop the school's strategic and financial direction.

The governing body also meets on four separate occasions as two committees:

  • the Resource Management Committee (RMC) is responsible for matters relating to Finance, Human Resources, Health and safety and Premises management. The committee is chaired by Mrs Rebecca Vodden-PageMembers of this committee may be called upon to serve on the Pay and Appraisal Review Group, the Exclusions Committee or Admissions Appeals.
  • the Teaching and Learning Committee (T&LC)  is responsible for matters relating to pupil outcomes, well-being and the strategic direction of the school. The committee is chaired by Mrs Rebecca Vodden-Page. Members of this committee may be called upon to serve on the Appeals Committee and the Complaints Committee.

The terms of reference for each of these committees are available through the school office.

Register of pecuniary and personal interest

Governors have a legal duty to act only in the interests of the school. Where a situation arises in which they cannot do this due to a personal interest they have, steps should be taken identify, prevent and record the conflict. This ensures that governors are acting in the best interests of the school. Governors complete a declaration on an annual basis and should not participate in discussions which may result in a personal or pecuniary interest.
